Th’Arbor is a translation of Clio Barnard’s 2010 film The Arbor in the form of a publication. The theatrical and tragic nature of Dunbar’s life as well as the verbatim lip-synced interviews, inspired the decision for this publication to translate the film phonetically. The tension between truth and reality, fact and performance facilitates the reader to be the performer and evaluate the different points of view portrayed in Clio Barnard’s original film as they attempt to deduce the real truth of the story.
